Participate

I’m hitting the road to visit my Facebook friends in person in order to explore connection and community.  I cannot complete such an endeavor alone.  I need YOUR help to make this possible.

There are several ways that you can participate in this experiment.

Obviously, if we’re Facebook friends, then you can participate by being on the other end of a visit.

You can further participate by sharing this blog with your friends and following me on Twitter: connectxcountry.

If you want to contribute financially, I will more than gladly accept some help with my expenses.  Phase 1 covered 12,204 miles and 112 friends and cost about $4500, mostly from my personal savings.

You can use the Donate button on the left of this page to direct you to PayPal to process your contribution.

If you contribute to Phase 2, I will be adding some incentives!

  • If you contribute $5, I will send you a virtual high five!
  • If you contribute $10, I will thank you on Twitter.
  • If you contribute $25, I will send you a postcard from the road.
  • If you contribute $50, I will thank you on the Thanks page of the website with a link to a website of your choice.
  • If you contribute $100, I will thank you on the Thanks page with a link to a website of your choice AND send you a framed photograph of a scenic picture from the road.
  • If you contribute $250, I will thank you and in the book I write afterwards (if/when published) AND do all of the above.
  • If you contribute $1000, I will visit you! (contiguous US only)

Your participation makes this project possible and means so much! Thank you!
